A Message to New High School Drivers

Over the course of summer and quarantine, many high schoolers have found the time to get their driver’s license and are ready to start driving around once school starts up again.

Friendly reminder that cars cause over one-fifth of all greenhouse gas emissions! This includes electric cars as the electricity used to charge the car probably comes from fossil fuels. If possible, try to bike or walk to school as those options are both healthy for you and the earth! However, if it is absolutely necessary to drive to school, attempt to reduce emissions by carpooling with a friend!
